Rob has played in several bands, starting out in the early 70's with strangely named "Concrete Wardrobe" and the appropriately named "Confusion" - both bands were typical of their time - playing local pubs, and making a lot of noise. Lighting effects were 2 light bulbs and a switching relay all housed in a shoebox, running at 240 volts and placed in the bass drum - it gave some interesting strobe effects - all in the days before health and safety....The amplifiers were just as lethal - being basic home made valve units on a metal chassis - with all the circuits exposed - A few speakers blew up - somehow the band survived - most are still playing in bands today.
Rob now concentrates on writing and recording, sometimes collaborating with other musicians.
The latest project is "Shadow of the Moon", a collaboration with Edinburgh composer and musician Stuart Mitchell. The CD is now available - visit www.robsmusic.org.uk for more details.
